Btw orthonormal means "normaly rotated" cartesian means XYZ coordinates and euclidian space means we use "natural" numbers. Example why this is a thing: try to make sense of spacetime in infinity, with every number we know or could know closer to 0 then infinity...

It's fun how this is just 'one side of the coin'. You can think that 'the real world' is just a special case of the (beautiful) general mathematical construct you jist made, or you can go the other way around, start from the experiments and see how you can somewhat create mathematical ideas that could build up the real world, at least up to a point. It's fun to meet in between ^^

Eucleadian space is a good enough approximation for most every day and actually most engineering projects. Since we're not likely to reach even close to lumnial speeds/great accelerations it doesn't matter, unless you're a GPS engineer or something. Also Cartesian is just a presenatation. Special relativity does use it, and most newtonian phyics can be (and sometimes benefits from) non-cartesian systems (cylindrical/spherical etc)
